We are seeking an Order Picker to join our bustling logistics facility in Washington, D.C. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving specified items from our warehouse inventory. Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are paramount to success in this position. You will work within a structured and dynamic environment, contributing to the seamless operation of our supply chain. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are expected to strictly adhere to safety regulations, including the proper use of provided PPE. Experience with RF scanners and a basic understanding of inventory management are beneficial. Regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Verify product identification (SKU, description) and quantities.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick lists to guide order selection.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock taking.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
- Report any stock shortages or damaged items to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills.
