About
Our Durham, North Carolina facility is seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately select products from inventory based on customer orders, ensuring timely and correct fulfillment. This role demands precision, speed, and a thorough understanding of our warehouse layout and inventory management systems. You'll be utilizing RF scanners or pick sheets to locate items, verify quantities, and prepare them for the next stage of the logistics process. A strong emphasis on Safety, including proper Lifting techniques and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player in our distribution operations and contribute to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order fulfillment lists.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track picked items.
- Package picked items appropriately for transit.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including safe Lifting practices and mandatory PPE usage.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Dedication to Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
