Front Line Border Defender

The primary objective of this role is to safeguard the nation's borders by detecting and interrogating individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.

• Suspected violators are identified through observation, interrogation, and surveillance techniques.
• Undocumented noncitizens and smugglers are prevented from entering or exiting the country by maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
• Duties include interpreting signs such as footprints, tire tracks, or other evidence left behind at crime scenes. During nighttime operations if necessary drivers may use vehicles equipped with infrared scopes for enhanced visibility in low-light environments.
