About
We are seeking a Senior Magento Developer with strong hands-on experience in Magento 2 customization,
subscription-based products, and payment gateway integrations. This role requires deep technical expertise in extending
Magento core functionality, building scalable custom modules, and implementing recurring billing and subscription
payment flows.
You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance
Magento solutions that support complex checkout and subscription lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain custom Magento 2 modules using best practices.
• Extend and override default Magento functionality using plugins, observers, preferences, and extension attributes.
• Customize and integrate payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, or custom PSPs), including tokenization, webhooks,
and callbacks.
• Implement and manage subscription products, including recurring payments, renewals, upgrades, downgrades,
cancellations, and retries.
• Design and manage Magento cron jobs for subscription renewals, billing, and background processes.
• Create new Magento themes and extend/customize multiple themes.
• Customize checkout flows, order lifecycle, invoices, refunds, and subscription management interfaces.
• Ensure performance optimization, security compliance, and Magento upgrade compatibility.
• Collaborate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Magento 2.
• Strong experience in custom module development and Magento architecture.
• Proven experience with subscription-based eCommerce and recurring payment systems (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience integrating and customizing payment gateways.
• Solid experience with Magento cron jobs and background processing.
• Hands-on experience working with Aheadworks Subscription Plugin, including customization and extension.
• Strong frontend experience with Magento themes, layout XML, PHTML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RequireJS, and
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Git.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Adobe Commerce.
• Experience with cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience integrating third-party systems (ERP, CRM, billing platforms).
