About
What you'll do:
- Review AI-generated Shopify theme code (Liquid, CSS, JS, section schemas) and approve/reject with clear reasoning
- Catch conversion problems the AI introduces — hidden CTAs, broken mobile layouts, bad UX
- Validate AI-generated specs for theme features before implementation
- Implement escalated work — features or fixes the AI flags as too risky or nuanced
- Ensure AI output matches client brand standards and design systems
- Work async — clear briefs, PR reviews, minimal meetings
Stack:
- Shopify Liquid (deep — not copy-paste level)
- Dawn-based themes (customisation, section building, schema JSON)
- HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript
- React / Hydrogen for headless projects is a plus
- Git — branches, PRs, code review
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years Shopify theme development
- Mobile-first, conversion-focused mindset
- You already use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) in your workflow
- Strong opinions on what good Shopify code looks like
- Clear written communication — you give actionable code review feedback
- Self-directed — you get a brief, ask smart questions, and deliver
How this works:

- Starts with a paid trial task (2-4 hours) on a real Shopify repo
