We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory. This role is essential to our **Logistics** operations and requires a strong focus on **Safety** and precision. Experience with different types of warehouse equipment is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to **Safety** standards.
- Follow all traffic rules and **Safety** regulations within the warehouse.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times while operating machinery.
- Participate in warehouse operations as needed, including some manual **Lifting**.
- Ensure efficient flow of goods through the warehouse to support **Logistics**.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with **PPE** requirements for forklift operators.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and inventory flow.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
