Join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas, as a Warehouse Associate! We are seeking dependable individuals to contribute to various warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods through our distribution center. You will work in a team-oriented setting, emphasizing safety, productivity, and attention to detail in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock merchandise in appropriate warehouse locations using inventory management systems.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer requirements.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and other stock management activities.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics operations and assist team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
