As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders. Your attention to detail and efficiency are crucial for successful order fulfillment. You will utilize scanning technology to track inventory and ensure accuracy. This role involves significant movement throughout the warehouse, including walking, bending, and reaching, and requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting. We emphasize a strong commitment to Safety, and all associates are expected to follow strict guidelines and utilize required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Meet daily picking targets and productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including put-away and stock checks.
- Perform frequent Lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability for moderate Lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory.
- Familiarity with scanning technology.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
