Join our dynamic fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois, as a Picker/Packer! This essential role is the backbone of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for accurately picking items based on order specifications, meticulously packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. This fast-paced position requires speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to quality. We are looking for motivated individuals who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team within our busy logistics environment. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain productivity are key to our success. We prioritize Safety above all else and provide comprehensive training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The job involves significant physical activity, including consistent Lifting. A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves using order sheets or scanners.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any other required documentation to packages.
- Stage packed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to all Safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Operate packing equipment safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Strong commitment to Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
