We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in Washington, D.C.! Our logistics facility is seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our team. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately select and prepare products for customer orders. This involves navigating the warehouse, using scanning equipment to identify items, and ensuring the correct quantities and product details are picked. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through precise order fulfillment. Adherence to safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is critical. Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse locations based on order specifications and RF scanner prompts.
- Verify product identity, quantity, and condition before picking.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment to minimize errors and returns.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency in picking operations.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from potential safety hazards.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation activities.
- Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the logistics center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in order picking or warehouse picking roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to read and understand picking tickets and product labels.
- Capability to stand, walk, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to handle repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety best practices in a warehouse environment and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented logistics setting.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
