About
We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts to transport goods, ensuring timely order fulfillment and maintaining organized inventory. This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. We pride ourselves on a safe and productive work environment, and strict compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. Experience with various types of forklifts and a commitment to safe material handling are essential. Regular lifting and maneuvering of palletized goods are part of the job. Knowledge of logistics and warehouse best practices is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, load, and unload materials safely.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming shipments.
- Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to safety standards and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Organize warehouse storage areas for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
