Position Summary
The Quality Controller Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the company's SMS and retail technology solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and documentation. Acting as a guardian of product quality, this role validates system changes, identifies risks, and ensures that new features and enhancements meet functional requirements, customer expectations, and delivery timelines. Working closely with Developers, Product, Training, and Project teams, this position supports the full software lifecycle by defining test strategies, executing manual and automated testing, contributing to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and producing clear, accurate technical and training documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Validation
Analyze business and functional requirements to write detailed test scenarios and test cases.
Perform regression, integration, and release testing in store-like environments.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Validate fixes and ensure stability across impacted areas.
Automation & Quality Enablement
Design and maintain automated test cases for POS and Retail workflows.
Identify repeatable scenarios suitable for automation.
Contribute to improving test coverage and QA processes.
Collaboration & Estimation
Work closely with the Development Team to clarify behavior, edge cases, and technical constraints.
Collaborate With The Development Team To
Review requirements and acceptance criteria.
Estimate testing effort for assigned features and initiatives.
Identify testing risks, dependencies, and scope.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in QA for Retail, POS systems, ERP or eComm platforms.
Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
Ability to clearly communicate findings and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Adaptability and responsiveness.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Bilingualism, both orally and in writing (French and English).
Other Requirements
Experience with test automation
XML and Http knowledge, SQL experience or database manipulation, an important asset
