Border Patrol Agent Role

This is a career ladder position with opportunities for advancement to higher grade levels based on performance and qualifications.

• A U.S. citizen, resident in the country for at least 3 of the last 5 years, and under 40 years old (exceptions apply)


• An entry-level law enforcement role requiring no experience but expecting sound judgment and decision-making skills in challenging situations

The successful candidate will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, where they'll undergo approximately six months of intensive training.
Painstaking attention to detail coupled with analytical thinking are necessary attributes; preferably those who speak fluent Spanish as it aids communication within an agency promoting border security through bilingualism.
