Become a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) to play a vital part in safeguarding the United States' borders, preventing illicit activity, and promoting economic prosperity. The CBPO is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. Key duties include:
  • Detaining suspected violators of federal laws.
  • Enforcing regulations related to importing/exporting goods.
A minimum of one year of specialized experience or equivalent education/combination thereof will be applied towards this position. The successful candidate must undergo paid pre-academy orientation followed by 101 days training at FLETC-Glynco GA where they will learn basic law enforcement skills, firearms training etc Successful completion is mandatory.
