• • Conduct inspections of individuals, conveyances, cargo/bags/merchandise.  ¡ Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States. 
  • Prevent illegal entry of contraband/goods/smuggled items.


• Maintain knowledge about import/export regulations/laws/agriculture/duty locations.


• Promote public awareness on legitimate trade/travel/restrictions under immigration laws/cargo inspection requirements.
