Customs and Border Protection Officer: Career Opportunities

This career position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. Successful applicants will be responsible for detaining suspected violators of federal laws, conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, and determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.

• Detecting potential threats to national security by utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis;
• Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity to determine the appropriate course of action;
• Making rapid judgments regarding regulations, instructions, and procedures related to importing/exporting merchandise or rights associated with entering/ departing US territories (Guam/Puerto Rico/U.S Virgin Islands).
