Border Protection Specialist
This is a career-ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level.

- This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding our borders and deterring illicit activities.
- You will work closely with other agencies to enhance national security and protect American interests.
- The typical assignments include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws; facilitating trade and travel; conducting inspections; determining admissibility of individuals; preventing illegal entry and smuggling.
The preference locations are expected to have vacancies available in the future. However if there are no vacancies at that time you may receive another duty location based on operational needs.
