A Border Patrol Agent is responsible for protecting the nation's borders and enforcing immigration laws. This role requires individuals with strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to public service.

This position involves detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions.

• Detecting illegal entry points into the country using various methods including infrared scopes during night operations
• Maintaining contact with a network of informants to gather intelligence on potential security threats
