About The Role
This position has a remote work arrangement, some hybrid work preferred. Ideally, this means 2-4 days on-site per month. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
As ATB's next AI Engineer within our Client Experience Metrics & Intelligence team, your mission is to transform client feedback and metrics - from multiple systems and sources - into high-fidelity, actionable intelligence for product teams, frontline team members and leadership. As a member of a small team, you are not only highly technically proficient in AI, but a catalyst that builds relationships with partners across the enterprise, identifies business needs and builds solutions that deliver value for users. You actively foster collaboration and mentor junior team members in the craft.
As ATB's Next AI Engineer, You Are An
Expert in AI model lifecycle including fine-tuning (e.g., BERT for sentiment/categorization), evaluation, monitoring, and leveraging Generative AI (Gemini) to create actionable reports from diverse data.
Exceptional collaborator and communicator, able to translate business needs into technical requirements by proactively engaging with technical and non-technical domain experts.
Possesses a Product mindset to define, prioritize, and drive model enhancements that align with partner needs and maximize user value.
Accountabilities
Govern the AI program by documenting system architecture, data flow, codebase standards, and maintaining the project roadmap/backlog.
Manage the end-to-end model development lifecycle, including version control (GitHub), establishing evaluation metrics, scheduled retraining, and production performance monitoring.
Oversee MLOps via Google Cloud Platform, including managing CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Cloud Build), deploying Python projects, and monitoring production system health.
Partner with domain experts to gather requirements and build AI-generated reporting that drives partner decisions, operations, and investments.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
Proven ability to partner effectively, prioritizing business knowledge and feedback to inform AI solution design and enhancement.
End-to-end experience in LLM fine-tuning and deployment, covering data ingestion, pre-processing, model maintenance, MLOps, and comprehensive governance/documentation.
Proficient in SQL, Python, GitHub
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform environments (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Vertex) is a plus.
Proactive and curious team player focused on maximizing value for ATB partners and clients.
Organized systems thinker, capable of creating structure and documentation in ambiguous environments.
