About
I run a solo psychotherapy practice in Greater Victoria, BC and need a skilled WordPress developer to help complete Phase 1 of my website and then move into Phase 2 development. The site is already built and live on WordPress with Elementor and Kadence theme, hosted on Kinsta. I have an SEO architect on the team providing strategy and technical direction; you would be executing the build work and collaborating with us on implementation.

## Phase 1; Remaining Work (Immediate)
**FAQ Section Build-Out**
This is the largest piece of remaining work. I have 140+ FAQs written and organized. The implementation involves:
- A main FAQ hub page using a "two-click maximum" model (hub routes users to focused sub-pages)
- Category sub-pages (Fees & Insurance, Getting Started, About Therapy, Crisis Support) with 5-8 questions each
- Service-specific FAQs embedded on individual program pages
- FAQ schema markup for SEO
- Clean accordion functionality
- Internal linking/backlinks throughout the FAQ system
**Homepage Edits**
- Adjustments to layout, spacing, and section ordering
- Visual refinements for better overall aesthetics
- Ensuring "Programs" section sits prominently at the top per SEO strategy
**Site Cleanup and Aesthetics**
- General visual polish across existing pages
- Consistent spacing, typography, and responsive behaviour
- Mobile optimization review
- Ensuring brand consistency (specific colour palette provided)
**Populations Served Pages (New)**
- Creating a "Who I Help" section with dedicated pages for specific populations (e.g., veterans, trades professionals, high-stress careers, leaders, and others)
- Each page follows a detailed content brief with specific tone, keywords, and structure
- Cross-linking between population pages and relevant service/program pages
---
## Phase 2; Courses and Educational Content (Upcoming)
Once Phase 1 is complete, the next phase involves building out course and educational content functionality on the site. This will likely involve:
- Integration of a Learning Management System (LearnDash, Tutor LMS, or similar)
- Course page templates and layouts
- Potential membership/paywall functionality (MemberPress or similar)
- Assessment tools and interactive elements
- This phase requires stronger coding ability beyond page building; comfort with PHP, custom WordPress development, and plugin customization is important
---
## Technical Environment
- **CMS:** WordPress
- **Page Builder:** Elementor
- **Theme:** Kadence
- **Hosting:** Kinsta
- **Booking System:** Jane App (external; linked from site)
- **SEO:** Schema markup, structured FAQ, keyword-optimized content architecture
---
## What I'm Looking For
- Strong WordPress development skills, not just page building
- Experience with Elementor and clean, professional design implementation
- Understanding of SEO best practices (schema markup, proper heading hierarchy, page speed)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow content briefs and design specs
- Reliable communication and ability to work within a small collaborative team
- Comfort with Phase 2 requirements (LMS integration, custom development, PHP)
- Experience building FAQ systems or knowledge bases is a plus
---
