Position: Journeyman & Apprentice Ironworkers – Turnaround (Fort Saskatchewan AB)
We are currently hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Ironworkers (employees & DSPs) for a turnaround project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB starting early March, 2026.
Project Details:
- Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
- Start Date: early March, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel erection, dismantling, and modification
- Rigging, hoisting, and alignment of equipment and components
- Assist with installation and removal of platforms, handrails, ladders, and supports
- Bolt-up, fit-up, and assist with welding preparation as required
- Work closely with supervisors and other trades to meet aggressive turnaround schedules
- Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and turnaround protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support safe execution of work under tight timelines and changing priorities
Ironworker – Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Ironworker certification (or equivalent)
- Previous industrial turnaround or shutdown experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of structural steel, rigging practices, and industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work packages
- Physically capable of meeting job demands, including working at heights
Ironworker Apprentice – Required Qualifications
- Registered Ironworker Apprentice (any year considered)
- Previous industrial or construction experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and work in a high-intensity turnaround environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
- Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
