Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, efficient back-end services and APIs. If candidate are passionate about building innovative solutions and have a strong understanding of server-side development, we want to hear from candidate.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NS is CAD $95k – CAD $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side logic using
  • Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Design and implement APIs for various front-end components.
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and write unit tests.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.
  • Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Design and build scalable backend services.
  • 5–8 years professional backend development.
  • expertise.
  • REST API design and implementation, OAuth authentication.
  • Experience integrating messaging systems with topics/queues (e.g., Solace, Kafka).
  • MongoDB.
  • JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Preferred skills: Redis caching, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes and Docker, Java.
