What is the opportunity?

The Securities Finance Product unit is responsible for securities lending, securities borrowing, cash collateral reinvestment, repo financing and tri-party cash auction products globally within Investor Services. The overall product strategy and profitability for Securities Lending is supported, in alignment with strategic objectives. The design and development of products are driven to support client retention, target client acquisition, enhance client experience and deliver on commitments made to clients.

What will you do?

  • Lead the strategy and evolution of the Securities Finance business, including target market, features, product/service experience, regulation and compliance. 

  • Identify opportunities and support development of suite of Securities Finance products focused on delivering NIAT growth through enhancing/digitizing products, generating client value, delivering by geography and platform. 

  • Develop new revenue opportunities and products to increase profitability. 

  • Initiate and deliver a clear product roadmap in-collaboration with various internal RBC teams. 

  • Take an active role in product-related change, including commercially-viable and client focused business cases, with prioritization and approval of product, client, operational and regulatory change. 

  • Support RBC IS' objective for Securities Finance to be viewed as thought leaders in the industry. 

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • BA or BSc in business, or other relevant degree. 

  • 5 years+ experience in industry, with a specific focus in securities finance and global markets. 

  • Sound technical knowledge of the financial services and asset management industry. 

  • Experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all industry relevant degree. 

  • Proven curiosity regarding fintech and evolving investment industry trends. 

  • Strong corporate knowledge.

Nice-to-have:

  • MBA, CFA or post-graduate in business or finance. 

  • Professional qualifications from a recognized industry body. 

  • Highly organized, self-motivated and entrepreneurial with drive to deliver products in-support of client experience and profitability objectives. 

  • Strong relationship management, communications and partnership development capabilities and skills.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$90, $140,000.00
