About

1) Project Overview
We are Uniforma, a modern school uniform brand focused on sustainability and innovation.
We are looking for an experienced packaging structural designer to design a premium corrugated cardboard packaging solution that:
- Holds a full school uniform set
- Includes a reinforced carry handle
- Transforms into a reusable cardboard clothes hanger
- Is production-ready for manufacturing
This is not just graphic design, we need structural engineering + dieline development + production specifications.
2) Packaging Requirements
a) Capacity:
The box must hold:
- 2 shirts
- 2 trousers
- 1 PE uniform
b) Estimated final box size target:
31cm (W) × 27cm (H) × 15cm (D)
(You may optimize if needed)
c) Transformable Feature (Core Innovation)
The packaging must include:
- Internal die-cut perforated components
- Removable hanger body
- Reinforcement spine
- Hook section
- Locking tab system (preferably glue-free)
d) The hanger must:
- Support up to 2–3 kg
- Be double or triple layered at stress points
- Be suitable for children's clothing
3) Carry Handle Requirements
The box must include:
- Die-cut oval carry handle
- Reinforced fold-over structure
- Handle opening approx: 110mm × 30mm
- Stress-protected structure (no tearing)
- No plastic inserts
- Must be strong enough for full garment load.
4) Branding & Visual Direction
Brand: Uniforma
Front design must include:
- Official black Uniforma logo (provided)
- Headline: "Your New School Year Starts Here"
- Sub-line: "Confident. Ready. Proud."
- Small eco message: "This box becomes your hanger "
- Minimal single-color illustration of a happy student (dark green)
- Dark green + black ink only
- Clean kraft corrugated background
Tone:
Premium, warm, confident, child-friendly.
4) Deliverables Required
We expect full professional packaging documentation including:
a) Structural Design
- Engineering-ready dieline
- Internal hanger die-cut layout
- Reinforcement zones clearly marked
- Perforation details
- Fold lines and locking mechanisms
b) Production Files
- AI / PDF print-ready dielines
Separate layers for:
- Cut lines
- Crease lines
- Perforations
- Print artwork
- CMYK color specs
- Bleed and safety margins
c) Manufacturing Specs
- Recommended board type (E-flute or B-flute)
- GSM recommendation
- Compression/load capacity estimate
- Assembly instructions
- Estimated unit cost considerations
d) 3D Visualization
- Realistic 3D mockups
- Flat dieline preview
- Assembled box render
- Assembled hanger render
5) Ideal Freelancer Profile
Proven experience in structural packaging design
Experience with corrugated cardboard engineering
Experience designing eco-friendly packaging
Knowledge of manufacturing constraints
Portfolio of similar transformable or innovative packaging
Bonus:
Experience with sustainable product packaging for retail brands.
6) Project Scope
This is a professional-grade packaging project for real production.
