About

The purpose of the Video Editor role at Ivy Ecommerce is to transform creative briefs into high-performing video ads that drive conversions at scale.
This is not just a technical editing role.
Our Video Editors are an integral part of the marketing engine. Your job is to understand the psychology, messaging, and strategy behind each ad concept, and bring it to life through sharp editing, pacing, storytelling, and attention to detail.
As a Video Editor, you are responsible for the execution and final polish of our video ads. The success of our marketing team depends on your ability to:
- Understand each creative brief from a performance/direct-response marketing lens
- Assemble visuals, hooks, captions, and pacing in a way that maximizes conversions
- Enhance the core marketing message through smart creative decisions
You understand that small details can be the difference between an ad that gets scaled to millions in spend and one that dies after testing.
Your role is to work closely with our Creative Strategists, actively learn what makes ads win or lose, and help us consistently produce winning ads month over month across our brand portfolio.
### Primary Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver ~10 ad briefs per week
- Collaborate closely with Creative Strategists to ensure each ad concept is executed correctly
- Implement feedback from the creative team and performance data to improve iterations
- Learn and internalize our ad strategy frameworks to understand what makes creatives "win" or "lose"
- Analyze your own creatives to identify what's working, what isn't, and how to improve
- Upload and organize final assets into the correct folders and formats for each platform
## Qualifications
### Direct Experience
- 1+ year experience editing eCommerce / performance marketing ads
- Experience working within a team environment and understanding roles in a creative workflow
