Help Improve Fairness & Accuracy in Artificial Intelligence
We are inviting volunteers aged 18 and above to participate in a structured Photo Data Collection Project designed to improve the fairness and accuracy of AI systems across different ages and cultures.
This project is conducted by LXT, a leading global provider of AI training data, in partnership with Clickworker.
Project Overview
This pilot project aims to collect a curated set of facial photographs across different life stages. The data will be used solely for training and validating computer-vision algorithms, specifically for:
Age estimation model
Facial recognition systems
Bias reduction in AI systems
The data will not be used for marketing or commercial advertising purposes.
By contributing diverse facial images across age groups and environments, you help ensure AI technologies work reliably and fairly for everyone.
What You Will Do
The entire process takes approximately one hour.
You will attend a scheduled Google Meet session where we will:
Confirm eligibility
Guide you through the secure NFC verification process
Assist with any questions
Support photos upload if needed
Please have your digital ID and photos ready before the call.
Digital ID Verification (NFC)
To ensure participants are adults and to maintain dataset integrity, we verify identity using NFC-enabled digital IDs.
Accepted IDs include:
Electronic passport
National ID card
Driver's license with NFC chip
We use approved verification apps (e.g., ReadID Ready or Regula Reader). The process works as follows:
You install the verification app.
You scan a QR code or open a secure link provided by us.
Your phone's NFC reads the chip embedded in your ID.
The app verifies authenticity via encrypted cryptographic signatures.
After verification, we receive only confirmation of document validity.
Important:
We do not collect copies of your ID.
No ID images are stored.
Data is temporarily stored on secure verification servers for no longer than 50 days.
No data remains stored on your phone after the session ends.
NFC verification is one of the most secure and forgery-resistant identity authentication methods available.
Privacy & Data Protection
We understand that sharing personal photos requires trust. Your data will be handled with strict safeguards:
Ethical Data Collection
Only the photos you voluntarily provide are collected.
No copies of ID documents are stored.
Data is used strictly for AI training and validation purposes.
Secure Storage
Data is stored in an ISO 27001-certified environment.
All transfers are encrypted.
Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Anonymization
Personal identifiers (name, contact details) are removed or replaced with codes.
Photos are anonymized before model training.
Retention periods are strictly limited and never extended unnecessarily.
Confidentiality
All project team members sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Strict privacy protocols are enforced at all times.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, you must:
Be 18 years or older
Own an NFC-enabled digital ID
Have access to digital photos from age 12+
Be able to estimate the approximate age/date of historical photos
Reside outside excluded countries (see list on sign-up form)
Participants from excluded countries are unfortunately not eligible for this pilot.
Compensation
Participants will receive compensation after their submission is reviewed and accepted.
Compensation varies by region. Examples include:
Up to US $30 (North America)
Approximately US $25 (Europe)
Approximately US $15 (Latin America, Middle East & Africa)
Final payment rates will be confirmed during the sign-up process.
Payments are processed monthly, and accepted submissions are included in the next payout cycle.

Step 1 – Online Form
Complete a short form
Step 2 – Review & Scheduling
We review your submission and send a scheduling link.
Step 3 – Video Call & Verification
You complete NFC verification and finalize submission.
Step 4 – Review & Payment
After approval, your payment is processed in the next monthly cycle.
