RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
We are looking for a research assistant for the SurvUDI Network – Montréal site. The SurvUDI Network is an epidemiological surveillance network for people who inject drugs (PWID) established in Quebec and Ottawa since 1995. Its objective is the surveillance of infections by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and by the hepatitis C virus (HCV) among PWID as well as the monitoring of risk factors for these infections.
General Duties
Perform statistical analyses,
Participate in the development of analysis plans,
Supervise and validate data entry,
Write analysis reports,
Participate in data interpretation,
Contribute to the writing of reports, presentations, and scientific articles,
Participate in meetings with co-researchers.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of study: Health Science, Social sciences, or other closely related field
Work experience: 3 years of experience an asset, can be experience that was acquired during studies. Prior research experience with people who inject drugs is an asset.

Research experience a strong asset,
Experience with statistical tools like R, SAS and SPSS is a strong asset,
A flexible schedule.
This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French.
An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.

Additional information
Status : Temporary Occasional: 10 hours per week
Pay Scale: $27.32-$50.74/h
Work Shift: Other or part-time: Flexible schedule according to availability of the candidate.
Work Site: Montreal Regional Public Health Department (1560, rue Sherbrooke Est, Pavillon J-A de Sève, Montréal). This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote)
