The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta is seeking a full-time Career Status Teaching Professor to support its French/English bilingual undergraduate program. Fluency in both French and English is required. This is a critical role in supporting the success and continuity of bilingual nursing education within the Faculty.
We welcome applications from dynamic educators who are passionate about learner-centered, innovative teaching in a bilingual context. If you are fluent in French but not yet fully confident teaching in French, we still encourage you to apply. The Faculty, in partnership with Campus Saint-Jean, will provide tailored professional development and support to help you build instructional confidence in French.
While applicants from all areas of nursing education are welcome, experience in areas such as acute care, maternal-child health, community health, or mental health may be beneficial.
The Faculty of Nursing is also committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion, and particularly welcomes applications from Indigenous scholars.
This is an Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) position with a full-time (1.0 FTE) career status appointment. The workload is 80% teaching and 20% service. The teaching load includes up to 8 courses annually, depending on course credit weighting, which may include teaching in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings.
Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor) will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
