About the Role
As a Research and Development (R&D) Product Developer at Kisko Products, you will bring a strong background in food science, product development, and a deep understanding of the latest trends in the food and beverage industry. This role focuses on researching, developing, and enhancing new product ideas while ensuring quality, taste, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Product Development: Lead the development of new food and beverage products from concept through commercialization, working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, quality assurance and control, production) to bring innovative products to market.
Formulation and Testing: Develop and test new product formulations, including ingredient sourcing, batch testing, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life analysis.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to optimize product formulations for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all new products comply with relevant food safety, health regulations, and labeling requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to source ingredients and materials, and ensure that products meet quality and consistency standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all product development processes, including recipes, test results, and regulatory compliance documentation.
Troubleshooting: Address and resolve product or process-related issues that may arise during development or production.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product development within the food and beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of product formulation, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., FDA Regulations, HACCP, GMP, BRC).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Required Skills
Proven experience in the liquid, beverage, or bottling industry.
Strong understanding of beverage production processes (mixing, blending, pasteurization, filtration).
Hands-on experience with filling, bottling, canning, or packaging lines.
Preferred Skills
Food Safety, Quality and Security.

Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience)
