Are you kind, patient, and committed? We’re on the lookout for dedicated Support Workers to join our small, friendly team in Whitfield, Dover. You’ll be supporting an amazing man who has autism and epilepsy, and who thrives in a caring environment.
He’s full of fun and enjoys being active, whether it’s going for long countryside walks, visiting parks, or simply relaxing with music. Your role will be to help him live a fulfilling life, providing emotional support and assisting with everyday activities like healthy eating and skill development.
Consistency and structure are key to helping him feel safe and calm. You’ll receive comprehensive training, including shadowing experienced Support Workers, to ensure you’re well-prepared to make a difference.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You’ll be working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
Your Role and Responsibilities
What Will You Be Doing?
This hands-on role means no two days will be the same! You’ll support him in living life to the fullest, both at home and in the community. Your daily tasks may include:
- Preparing meals and keeping his home clean and comfortable
- Planning fun activities and outings
- Promoting his independence and helping him develop life skills
- Assisting with personal care and medication management
- Maintaining accurate records to ensure high standards of care
