Contract: Full-Time, Permanent - 35 hours per week
Salary: Relevant apprentice rates

What We Are Looking For

Are you ready to kickstart your career in finance? We are on the lookout for a motivated Sales Ledger and Billing Apprentice to join our Finance Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards your AAT qualification, with full study support provided!

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Ledger and Billing Apprentice, you will be trained to support our team with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Ensuring timely payments by communicating with customers
  • Contacting local authorities for updates on outstanding invoices (with guidance)
  • Assisting in raising invoices and credit notes through automated systems and manual postings
  • Posting payments received onto the finance system
  • Updating records to track payment due dates
  • Supporting the team in reducing overdue debt
  • Maintaining accurate sales ledger records
  • Resolving customer queries via phone and email
  • Creating manual invoices for additional services
  • Keeping organized notes and records for audit purposes
  • Working to deadlines and adapting to the needs of the finance team
About You

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and experience:

  • GCSE qualifications are essential
  • Basic knowledge of the full Microsoft Suite, including Excel
  • Experience in a finance function within a large organization is a plus
