Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a KS3/KS4 SEND Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach small, bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
- Adapting your teaching methods to cater to the diverse strengths and needs of your students.
- Setting high standards that inspire and motivate your pupils.
- Demonstrating strong subject knowledge and participating in preparations for external tests.
- Teaching across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum and adapting learning for students with SEND.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- A strong understanding of how children learn and the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with pupils and a good grasp of child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Proficient ICT skills, especially in using technology to enhance learning.
- A workplace that prioritizes the emotional health and wellbeing of all staff.
- Commitment to your professional development with a variety of growth opportunities.
