The role of a Border Patrol Agent involves safeguarding America's borders, protecting the country from immigration violations and other security threats.

In order to effectively carry out these duties, the ideal candidate should have excellent observation skills with an attention for detail. Strong communication skills are also required in order to collaborate seamlessly with team members and convey information accurately. A high level of physical fitness is necessary as this job entails working outdoors under various weather conditions.
In terms of qualifications, applicants must be US citizens between 21-36 years old (some exceptions apply), possess a valid driver’s license, complete three months training at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico after which they will receive pay throughout their training period.
