We are seeking a Senior Network Solutions Engineer to lead as the primary technical authority within our voice and data network. This position is pivotal not only for overseeing network implementation and modifications but also for ensuring compliance with our enterprise design standards. You will provide expert guidance to LAN, WAN, and Cableplant teams, all focused on delivering top-notch patient-centered care through secure and innovative health IT solutions. Research and recommend effective support tools and systems such as network management platforms and traffic analysis solutions.
Lead the configuration, installation, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting of micro-segmentation, routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and other vital communication devices.
Monitor performance metrics like response times and bandwidth usage, and suggest enhancements using specialized tools to maximize network efficiency.
Oversee the design and management of the IP address schema and assignment processes.
Design, implement, and maintain a robust enterprise wireless network, including site surveys and RF planning.
Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points and controllers.
Ensure network integrity and security by implementing WPA2/3 protocols and RADIUS integration. Proven experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions is essential.
Resolve complex networking issues using advanced packet capture, including expertise in tools like Wireshark.
Manage network hardware and software to guarantee optimal operational efficiency and uptime.
Maintain comprehensive network topology diagrams and documentation for the entire CHA network and partner connections.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; significant relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree (minimum of 6 years total experience).
At least 7-10 years of progressive network engineering experience in an enterprise setting, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior engineering role.
Experience in a large, complex healthcare organization is highly valued.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Juniper and Aruba.
In-depth knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, RIPv2, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, EVPN-VXLAN, and 802.1x protocols.
Strong understanding of VLANs, data/voice trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Link Aggregation Group (LAG), and layer 2/3 fault tolerance design.
Proficiency in managing Access Control Lists (ACLs), Firewalls, VPNs, and NAC solutions.
Desired Certifications: Juniper Networks Certified Professional - Service Provider (JNCIP-SP) or Juniper Networks Certified Professional - Enterprise (JNCIP-ENT).
Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP).
CompTIA Network+ or Security+ Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) certifications (CWNA, CWAP, CWDP).
Working Conditions: Mandatory rotating 24/7 on-call support required with a response time of 30 minutes remotely or 1 hour on-site.
Reliable transportation is necessary for travel between multiple sites.
