Each year, Amida offers a technical internship in honor of Dr. Per K. Enge, Amida board member, strategic advisor, and close friend of the company. Dr. Enge was the Vance and Arlene Coffman Professor of Engineering at Stanford University and one of the world's foremost experts in global positioning system (GPS) technologies. His research focused on improving the capabilities of satellite navigation, and he led the deployment of two different navigation systems still widely used to this day. Dr. Enge co-founded the Stanford Center for Position, Navigation, and Time. He held over 30 patents, was a noted writer and editor, and was the recipient of numerous awards and honors including election to the National Academy of Engineers, the Air Force GPS Hall of Fame, and the prestigious GNSS Signals Award from GPS World magazine. Beyond his technical contributions, Dr. Enge was first and foremost a teacher and a mentor. He had a passion for sharing knowledge and wanted to inspire others into the field that he loved so much. To honor Dr. Enge's legacy, Amida is offering a paid technical internship for an
Applications Engineer Intern . The successful candidate will join our growing development team for Microelectronics Security software solutions on a temporary (3-month) basis and the candidate
What you will do:
Collaborate with the R&D team and work with the design community in solving critical problems to enhance hardware design security
Assist with the deployment of Amida's hardware security solution in semiconductor customer base
Contribute to the security of all modern consumer and enterprise chips, making them safer and more reliable
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field
Required Skills:
Proficiency in HDL languages (e.g., System Verilog, Verilog, and VHDL at RTL level)
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms
Skilled in using scripting languages such as TCL, Python, and Unix shell scripts
Knowledge of ASIC and FPGA design flows
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach, eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Strong understanding of and experience in logic synthesis or DFT
Prior knowledge of and experience as an Applications Engineer of EDA tools
