About
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and production areas. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to transport raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. You will play a critical role in ensuring that production lines have the necessary components and that finished products are ready for shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety , and all team members are required to strictly follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE . This position requires a high degree of physical dexterity, including regular Lifting of heavy items, often exceeding 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move raw materials, components, and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and verifying stock.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times, including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely material availability.
- Participate in warehouse organization and housekeeping efforts.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company's Logistics and supply chain operations.
- Perform tasks that involve significant physical exertion and frequent Lifting .
- Receive and process inbound materials and prepare outbound shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 75 pounds.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and Logistics .
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of workplace Safety .
- Proficiency in wearing and using appropriate PPE .
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
