We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boise, Idaho. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our warehouse management system (WMS). This role is crucial for maintaining inventory control and supporting the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We value safety and expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The ability to perform moderate Lifting and moving of boxes and packages is required. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Report any damages or shortages to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding Safety .
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed (training provided).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of goods.
- Proper use of required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as required.
- Understand and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics .
