You will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order slips, carefully inspecting them, and then packing them securely for shipment. This role is critical to our logistics operations, requiring precision, speed, and a commitment to quality. You will work with a variety of products, so the ability to handle different types of goods carefully is essential. Maintaining an organized workstation and contributing to the overall cleanliness of the warehouse are also key responsibilities. Your understanding of inventory management principles and your ability to follow instructions precisely will be highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Accurately picking items from shelves according to order lists.
- Verifying picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Carefully inspecting items for damage or defects.
- Packing items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Applying shipping labels and preparing packages for transit.
- Maintaining an organized and efficient picking and packing station.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Properly using and maintaining required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for accurate counting and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to handle items of various sizes and weights, including regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics is helpful.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a team or independently.
- Commitment to safety standards and the use of PPE.
