We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Adherence to all safety protocols is paramount. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Participate in ongoing safety training sessions.
- Properly manage and store materials to prevent damage.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and orderly, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, fostering strong working relationships.
