We are seeking a motivated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, managing warehouse staff schedules, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your contributions will be vital to the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. The Warehouse Coordinator will also be involved in process improvement initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance overall warehouse performance. We emphasize the importance of safety protocols and proper handling procedures to minimize risks and ensure a secure workplace. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Schedule and coordinate shipments and deliveries with carriers.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and policies.
- Monitor adherence to PPE requirements and other Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with Logistics planning and optimization.
- Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
- Capability to handle occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar role. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent leadership and communication abilities. Familiarity with inventory management software. Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or a degree in a related field is a plus. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving physical exertion, including occasional Lifting . Must be authorized to work in the US and have reliable transportation. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success in this Logistics role.
