Join our growing logistics operation in Detroit, Michigan, as a Material Handler! We are looking for motivated individuals to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our busy distribution center. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail to handle a variety of products and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming shipments.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics operations and assist team members as needed.
Previous experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a significant plus. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Strong focus on safety and operational efficiency in a logistics setting is essential. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are desired.
