Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in Atlanta, Georgia! We are seeking energetic and reliable individuals to manage the flow of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and store materials appropriately.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics success of the facility.
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods. Must be detail-oriented, possess good communication skills, and have a strong commitment to safety. This is a physically demanding role that requires constant movement and attention to detail.
