About
We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our Orlando, Florida facility. This position is critical for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products. You will operate various equipment and work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient workflow. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety in a demanding logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and to production or shipping lines.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and shipping processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of material movement and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, standing and moving for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Safety & PPE:
A strong emphasis is placed on safety in this role. You will be provided with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests. Proficiency in safe material handling techniques, proper lifting methods, and the operation of equipment is paramount. Regular safety training will ensure you are up-to-date on best practices for a secure and efficient logistics operation.
