Job Summary:
We are searching for a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and improve our warehouse infrastructure and operational efficiency in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves performing routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, assisting with equipment repairs, and ensuring the overall functionality of our logistics facility. The Warehouse Technician will contribute to a safe and productive working environment by ensuring that all tools, machinery, and the facility itself are in optimal condition. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify and address maintenance needs, implement improvements, and uphold high standards of operational safety. Experience with various warehouse systems and a strong understanding of mechanics are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and racking systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, performing necessary repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support logistics operations by ensuring equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with external service providers when necessary.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment, logistics operations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, including the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
