• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship status.


• Prevent illegal entry by apprehending aliens smugglers near borders, maintaining surveillance in covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Patrol international boundaries, coastal waterways using government assets such as vehicles,horses,vessels,watecraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles accomplish USBP Mission security inspections at both interior exterior facilities interviewing witnesses obtaining statements preparing reports analyzing data recommending enforcement actions initiating investigations covering diverse topics including smuggling counterfeiting theft property crime drugs marijuana firearms prostitution human trafficking embezzlement mail fraud
