The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring for full-time, entry-level Law Enforcement Officer opportunities in the field of border patrol.
**Job Description:** As a BPA, you will be responsible for safeguarding our borders and preventing illegal activity by detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
Typical assignments include:
• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration law.
• Inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Maintaining surveillance from covert positions to prevent undocumented noncitizens,
persons smuggling contraband, arrests,
border patrols traffic checks,detective work,courts,social services .listing recording data along with other vital information which may lead them into investigating suspicious individuals performing investigations,gathering evidence about any crimes committed criminal investigation background check detention drug cases additional special functions
