About
As a member of the Control, Protection, and Automation team, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and implementation of projects related to new power plants or the rehabilitation of existing systems. You will participate in design reviews with the client, support commissioning, and mentor junior engineers, while also contributing to bids.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team.
As a member of the Control, Protection, and Automation team, within the scope of new power plant projects and/or rehabilitation of existing systems, you will be responsible for:
• Design protection, control, and automation solutions for major hydroelectric projects, working closely with an experienced team of multidisciplinary engineers.
• Participate in design reviews with the client and actively contribute to clarifying technical requirements to ensure complete project alignment.
• Prepare and supervise the documents required for the manufacture of control panels and automation systems.
• Develop and document testing and validation procedures (FAT/SAT) to ensure the quality and compliance of the systems delivered. Supervise workshop testing with clients, ensuring rigorous validation prior to shipment.
• Participate in final on-site testing and recommissioning of installations, a key moment when your expertise ensures the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/Automation (member of the OIQ);
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical design for protection/control/automation systems;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
• Practical knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, Vault AutoDesk an asset;
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Availability for on-site commissioning as required.
