BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), owner and operator of BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre, is hiring a Purchasing Manager.

Join our Procurement team and play a key role in managing day-to-day purchasing operations, executing RFx projects, tracking procurement metrics, and ensuring compliance with policies and trade agreements. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement, you will support departments across BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre in sourcing goods, services, and capital projects efficiently and cost-effectively.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Manage daily procurement activities including RFQs and RFPs.
  • Support departments with purchasing needs while ensuring policy and trade agreement compliance.
  • Lead end-to-end RFx processes: gather requirements, post on BC Bid, evaluate responses, and award contracts.
  • Monitor and improve procurement KPIs such as cycle times and purchase volumes.
  • Resolve supplier issues and liaise with accounts payable.
  • Support policy development and procurement training.
  • Foster supplier relationships and stay informed on market trends.
  • Promote procurement best practices and cost-saving strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff performance and accountability.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or equivalent as an accredited professional is preferred. A combination of training and experience that can meet the job requirement will also be considered.
  • Experience in managing complex procurement, including experience in managing competitive bids for construction and services-related procurement.
  • Understanding and experience with BC Bid process.
  • Analytical skills– Must have strong analytical, organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience leading stakeholders through the procurement process from sourcing to contract execution.

The salary range for this position is $66,983 - $80,000.

  • Offers will be in line with PavCo's internal pay equity and qualified candidate's experience and education.
