About

We are looking for an experienced Python web scraping expert to build a reliable scraper for the public registry website operated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Project Scope:
Scrape the full public registry database
Url:
Handle search forms, pagination, and dynamic content (ASP.NET)
Extract structured data (name, address, status, offense details, etc.)
Store results in database (PostgreSQL preferred)
Implement monthly automated runs
Include logging, error handling, and resume capability
Deliver clean, well-documented code
Technical Requirements:
Strong Python (Requests, BeautifulSoup, Playwright or Selenium)
Experience with ASP.NET form submissions & ViewState handling
Anti-blocking strategies & rate limiting
Experience scraping government/public records sites
Database integration experience
Deliverables:
Fully functional scraper
Deployment instructions
Dockerized setup preferred
Scheduled monthly automation
