About
Anderson Collaborative is a growth marketing agency recognized as the #1 Media Buying & Planning Agency by for five consecutive years. We manage $150M+ in ad spend for franchise systems, e-commerce brands, and local businesses. We're scaling our web development division and need a developer who can build client websites on a modern, SEO-first stack as we move away from WordPress.
The Role
We're hiring a developer to build fast, SEO-optimized, client-managed websites. You'll take Figma designs and turn them into production-ready sites with a headless CMS that non-technical clients can update on their own. Every site needs to rank aggressively in both traditional and AI-powered search, load instantly, and be simple enough for a franchise owner or marketing coordinator to manage without calling us.
This is not a one-off project. We have a growing pipeline of client sites to build and maintain across franchise systems and local businesses.
Our Current Stack
We've built out a standardized approach that's working well, but we're always open to improvements from someone who knows this space deeply. Here's where we are today:
- Framework: 15 (App Router) with TypeScript
- CMS: Payload CMS 3.x (embedded directly in the project)
- Database: Neon (Serverless PostgreSQL)
- Hosting: Vercel with Git-connected deployments and preview URLs
- DNS/CDN: Cloudflare (WAF, DDoS protection, edge caching)
- Design: Figma with handoff via Dev Mode or Figma MCP
- Styling: Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 + Google Tag Manager
- Dev Tools: Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI-assisted coding tools
- Media Storage: Vercel Blob / Cloudflare R2
If you've worked with this exact stack, great. If you have experience with comparable tools and strong opinions on what works better, we want to hear that too. We care about results, not rigid tooling loyalty.
What You'll Be Doing
Building client websites from Figma designs, translating Dev Mode specs into production React components using AI-assisted coding tools
Configuring headless CMS collections for each client's content needs (pages, blog posts, team members, testimonials, case studies, FAQs, and location pages for franchise clients)
Implementing technical SEO on every build: pre-rendered HTML, proper metadata, canonical URLs, Open Graph tags, JSON-LD structured data, XML sitemaps, , and for AI discoverability
Setting up GA4, GTM, Search Console, and standard event tracking (form submissions, CTA clicks, phone clicks, scroll depth)
Migrating existing WordPress sites to the new stack, including content migration, 301 redirect mapping, and post-launch SEO monitoring
Configuring hosting, DNS, CDN, and the deployment pipeline
Hitting strong Lighthouse scores (90+ Performance, 95+ SEO, sub-2.5s LCP)
Training clients on their CMS admin panel
What We're Looking For
- Experience with or a comparable modern React framework (Remix, Astro, etc.) and an understanding of rendering strategies (SSG, ISR, SSR) and why they matter for SEO
- Hands-on experience with at least one headless CMS (Payload, Sanity, Strapi, Contentful, or similar)
- Figma proficiency and a solid workflow for turning designs into pixel-accurate, responsive components
- Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first styling approach
- Strong technical SEO knowledge: structured data implementation, Core Web Vitals optimization, crawlability, and metadata architecture
- Active daily use of AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot. We lean heavily on these to move fast, and we need someone who already does the same.
- Experience with Git-based deployment workflows and CI/CD
- Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and Search Console configuration
Bonus Experience
- Multi-location or franchise website builds with location-specific pages and LocalBusiness schema
- WordPress-to-headless migration experience
- Cloudflare configuration (DNS, WAF, caching rules)
Serverless database experience (Neon, PlanetScale, Supabase)
- Understanding of AI discoverability practices and how LLM-powered search is changing SEO
How We Work
We follow a structured launch workflow from Figma design through DNS cutover, with Git-based branching and preview deployments for client review. AI coding tools are central to how we build, not a side experiment. Communication is direct and low-fluff. We care about output, site quality, and velocity.
That said, we're building this division and value a developer who can improve our processes, not just follow them. If you see a better way to do something, we want to know.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: , JavaScript (ES6+), Responsive Web Design, WordPress Migration, Google Analytics 4, , TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Cloudflare, Vercel
